Who hasn't he shot for?
World reknowned photographer Mark Rogers' credits include Vogue magazine, Cosmopolitan, Juice, London Times Magazine, FHM, film stills for major feature films such as La Spagnola, Russian Doll, Cold Turkey and the list goes on. Mark has many large commercial clients (Telstra, Nine Network, Festival Mushroom records etc.) and has shot major celebrities including Russell Crowe!

CPC is proud to host two workshops by Mark when he stops by the Bay in May. The second workshop "Fashion and Portraiture" (available to those who attend the Studio Lighting workshop) uses both a model and a character to demonstrate the process of photographing a subject from setting up the scene, to lighting and background control.

EXPEDITION TO UKI / MT WARNING    24& 25th August 2003
Northern New South Wales is a photographers' paradise, and no portion of it is more photogenic than the majestic Mount Warning and the lush subtropical countryside surrounding it. Byron Bay's Creative Photography Centre is offering a guided weekend photographic expedition to the area.

All images © Mark Lang

Dubbed "Cloud Catcher" by the Aborigines, and Mt Warning by Captain Cook it marked dangerous offshore reefs, the mountain is the most famous natural landmark in the area. It is a magnet for the spectacular storms that are most regular in the wet season, and the summit provides awesome 360 degree views: to Cape Byron, Australia's most easterly point, and the Pacific Ocean, and back over the beautiful hinterland to the splendid Border Ranges, which, with Mt Warning, are the rim of an extinct volcano crater.

The country around the Mt Warning National Park is green, leafy and tranquil, the rolling hills divided by crystal creeks. It is a haven for market gardeners, small-hold farmers, alternative life-stylers and rat-race refugees. The historic, languid village of Uki is nearby, boasting a quaint main street of interesting old buildings, bright flowers and tall trees.

The weekend expedition is $360.00 per person
